"Fifer was amazing she was knowledgeable in regards to the menu gave suggestions and even got my son to laugh when we were having a rough day. This is what community is all about. Good food and good hearts. She is definitely a keeper and we definitely will be back. It has been a long time since we had patronized this establishment because the last time my experience was not all that well, but I got home today and I can honestly say that my food was accurate. It was still warm and Fifer made this a wonderful experience for us."

"My wife and I went here per a friend's recommendation. Let me tell you, the food here is absolutely amazing! Deserving of more than 5 stars if possible. I had the turkey wings w/cabbage and mac and cheese. My wife had fried fish with collard greens and mac and cheese (we both also had the corn bread). When I tell you EVERYTHING was good! It was amazingly good! You have to try this place if you haven't been here. It is pricy (we paid over $60 for the both of us, but again, well worth it). My only regret is we didn't go here day 1 of our trip to D.C. so we could have gone again."

"Best seasoned grilled chicken I’ve ever had and makes me remember how family used to cook. Food so good you’ll be going here more than once a week and will have you craving it when you’re hungry."

"It took us about 25 min to get there before we headed back to NYC and it was worth the trip and the wait. Everything was great, including that side of rice. Can’t believe we forgot the cornbread."

"Best part for me was the people and atmosphere. I feel like I could just hangout at the restaurant for hours. Everyone that works here is cool. The food was ok. I ordered the fried whiting fish meal with green beans (really good, just a bit overcooked) and collard greens (too sweet, prefer acidic). I also ordered the blackened shrimp which I wish were cooked more and slightly more salty and buttery. Lastly, the push cobbler which I wish the crust wasn't super soft and harder. Tasted a bit soggy. Overall though the place is nice but the food was mid in my opinion."

"Oohh’s & Aahh’s serves some of the best soul food in D.C. The turkey wings are moist and flavorful, the mac & cheese is rich and creamy, and the portions are beyond generous. Casual vibe, great comfort food, and definitely worth the visit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"Just walking in the door the staff was very attentive and welcoming. There was no wait to be seated, no wait to be served and the food came out promptly. The owner and manager greeted us to see how we were enjoying our visit. Now for the food, it was wonderful, tasty and filling. No additional seasoning needed. I ordered the catfish and grits and my husband had the chicken and waffles. We are already planning our next visit. Thank you so much!"
